I would recommend viewing the game trailer here to get a brief grasp on the gameplay- and let me tell you, actually doing those stunts is a thousand times more satisfying and GOD-I'M-SO-VERY-AWESOME-inducing than it seems it would be. God yes, the game is exhilarating.
The IGN review of Mirror's Edge is located here; it includes a summary and a good discussion on both the positive and negative aspects of the game, as well as screenshots and a short gameplay preview. It's a pretty good place to gather some quick information on the game.
While I got my hands on a friend's PS3 demo and enjoyed that as well, I personally played the PC version. The ingame graphics are absolutely beautiful, Faith's movements are perfectly integrated and the feeling of pulling off an awesome combo is just priceless. The soundtrack is astounding as well- it consists mostly of techno pieces perfectly tailored to suit the ingame experience, and they certainly do their job to get your heart pumping as you frantically scan blues and yell 'OH GOD WHERE DO I GO WHERE DO I GO OH GOD'- anyway.
The Mirror's Edge experience is truly unique and very, very fun. While it may be frustrating at times, the game concept is kick-ass enough to get you coming back for more- it really is an fantastic game, and I do hope I gave enough of a push for you to want to try it out.
